The return of spring always stirs a great sense of excitement in us all as we hear the birds singing earlier in the day, witness a new blanket of colour appear on the ground and begin to listen out for the migrating birds to return.
For this activity print out the 'signs of spring' spotters sheet and take it with you on your walks. When you spot one of the items cross it off and mark the date. It's unlikely that you'll spot all of these at one time but if you are to find them all you should begin as soon as possible or you may be waiting until February next year to spot your snowdrops.
Have fun seeking and searching and share your photos below.
This activity is great for your wellbeing because:
1.Get Active- Keep healthy by heading outdoors and looking for signs.
2.Think Community- Along with looking consider planting some bulbs for next year.
3.Be Mindful- Noticing changes in nature is a great way to 'notice' & be mindful of changes.
4. Practise Kindness-If you spot any over wintering insects, role that log back over and let them sleep.
5. Keep Learning- Make a note of the things you dont know the names of and look them up.
