After listening to the Tree People story (available in our 'Storytelling' section) we headed out into the woods to search for people in the trees.
We looked for eyes, a nose, a mouth and sometimes even arms and legs, then we used natural materials to 'bring them to life' and give them new character.
We often forget that each tree is a unique individual in a whole community of trees, able to communicate, breathe, eat and share with the trees around it. As you transform your tree into a person remember that just like us it lives here on this earth.
This resource is great fun but also provides a boost to your wellbeing by helping you:
1) Get Active- enjoy your spring walk to discover the perfect place to discover tree people.

2) Keep Learning- there are so many different natural materials to add to your creations - see if you can identify them as you go.
3) Be Mindful- When working with the trees notice them just a little closer than you usually would. What type of tree is it? Is it rough, smooth, hard or soft? Look around on the ground, what else do you see?
4) Practice Kindness- remember every tree is alive, go back and visit it throughout the year and see how t has changed.
5) Think Community- Take a litter picker with you as you go and make your community a nicer place for all.
