Story- The Nightingale
The Nightingale is a Danish folk tale written over 150 years ago by the famous author Hans Christian Anderson.
This beautiful tale tells of an Emperor who choses a mechanical bird over the Nightingale only to find it return in his hour of need.
This story raises a number of questions in our modern times. After the story consider the following questions:
1- Can technology ever replace nature?
2- Make a list of the items of technology that you couldn't live without
3- Make a list of the natural items that you couldn't live without (you may need a lot of paper)
4- How did the Emperor treat the bird and why would she return to save him?
