After the story consider the following questions:
During the story the male lapwing builds its nest out of grass and leaves, do you think this is a good design? Could the Lapwing have used any other materials by the estuary to make the nest stronger?
The male lapwing gets very angry with the sea but knows that alone he can't change what has happened. He seeks help from the other birds. Can you think of a time when you have had to ask others to help you?
In the story the Sea God demands the sea returns the eggs, do you think this was fair?
