This session is inspired by the beautiful book A Handful of Quiet by Thich Nhat Hanh. It's a wonderful family friendly mindfulness practice that connects art, nature & us. This practice tends to have the whole family feeling really calm, grounded & open afterwards. If it's suitable for you, then take this activity outdoors to gain all of natures benefits.
Paper - you will need four pieces of paper per person
Something to draw with - be that a pen or pencil, crayons, colouring pencils, pastels or paints - choose whatever you have at home. Pebbles - I like to use a mixture of natural found stone, river polished glass & semi-precious stones. You can of course use any stones or replace stones with conkers, acorns or other natural items.
