Storytelling- King of the Birds
Birds are breathtaking and majestic creatures. Soaring through the sky they amaze us daily with their fascinating flight.
But not all birds are the same, some are clever, some beautiful, some homely and some are distant travellers.
In this old English folk tale we learn more about birds and discover which is the 'King of the Birds'.
After listening to this story consider the following questions:
1- Each of the birds in the story has it's own unique qualities- can you describe what it is about you that makes you unique?
2- When all the birds lined up to begin the challenge nobody thought the Wren would be victorious- can you describe a time when you faced a challenge and surprised yourself and those around you?
3- Although the Wren was named 'King of the Birds' it could not have been victorious with the help of the Golden Eagle- we all rely on each other to help us become the best version of ourselves, can you think of somebody who has supported you in the past?
